The DT 1990 PRO MKII headphones are equipped with the latest TESLA.45 driver technology, redesigned from the ground up. The 45mm driver system delivers exceptional resolution, ultra-low distortion, and outstanding impulse response, ensuring signal fidelity even at high volumes. With lightweight, optimised materials, the design achieves both studio-quality sound and remarkable versatility. Featuring an impedance of 30 ohms, these studio headphones are compatible with a wide range of devices.

In terms of sound performance, the reference headphones provide precise bass response extending to the lowest frequencies. Compared to the previous model, the slightly softened highs offer detailed audio while minimising errors during mixing. The expansive soundstage allows for accurate positioning of instruments and vocals.

Each pair of DT 1990 PRO MKII headphones contains two TESLA.45 drivers, meticulously crafted at the company’s headquarters in Heilbronn, Germany, with multiple quality checks performed throughout the production process.

The DT 1990 PRO MKII is built for extended studio use, offering exceptional comfort throughout long sessions. The sturdy yet flexible spring steel headband provides optimal contact pressure, while the soft velour ear pads ensure a pleasant fit. The headband, crafted from durable leatherette with memory foam, conforms perfectly to the shape of the head. A fontanelle recess helps prevent discomfort in sensitive areas. Additionally, both the ear pads and headband are replaceable, ensuring long-lasting usability.

The DT 1990 PRO MKII is designed for maximum versatility, featuring two types of ear pads. The ‘Producing Velours,’ included as standard, provide a rich, full sound with a subtle bass boost, while the ‘Mixing & Mastering Velours’ offer a more detailed and analytical sound. The headphones come with two cables: a 3m straight cable and a 5m coiled cable, both equipped with a lockable 3-pin mini-XLR plug. All components are securely stored in a premium hard case.
