With the FR-AV2's sophisticated 32-bit float recording capability at up to 192 kHz, you can avoid recording discarding audio due to distorted or weak levels. Recording at lower bit depths, like 24-bit and 16-bit, often leads to digital clipping from loud sound sources, an issue that can't be rectified afterwards.

The dual analogue-to-digital converter technology ensures recordings are captured with enhanced dynamic range and clarity, allowing you to raise dialogue levels without any noticeable changes in tone or dynamics.

Plug microphones and professional line-level sources directly into the FR-AV2’s dual Ultra HDDA preamps. With an equivalent input noise of only –127 dBu, you can achieve audio capture with exceptional clarity and virtually no background noise.

Additionally, the 3.5-mm stereo input enables the use of wireless microphones, lavalier mics, and any other audio sources you might have in your collection.

The FR-AV2 allows you to simplify your videography setup, enabling you to bring less gear to your shoots. The recorder transmits and receives timecode through its 3.5-mm input/output designed for DSLR cameras and also supports jam-sync with external timecode devices.

By utilising the optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter, you can wirelessly sync timecode with compatible Atomos UltraSync Blue devices as well.

By adding the optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter, you can monitor audio wirelessly in real-time. Choose from three quality levels to optimise the signal based on your recording environment, taking into account both connection and sound quality.

Wired and Bluetooth monitoring can operate simultaneously, allowing two people to listen at the same time.
