The benefits of a diamond elliptical are second to none. The elliptical allows for smaller moving increments allowing the MKII Elite to extract complex oscillations with accurately like never before seen on a Concorde MKII, leaving no frequency band untouched.

Its not just good enough creating a elliptical that matches up to those of a Hi-Fi system, the cantilever needs to be able to live up to the same stands. Finding a perfect natural balance between a lightweight design and robust high strength temper requires a certain degree of ingenuity, not only in the design but in the raw materials used to ensure listening standards are met. The properties of the Rigid 750 µm Aluminum-Magnesium Cantilever, exclusively developed for the Concorde Elite, ensure that the stylus picks up the groove vibrations with a stable and accurate trace.

In the armature, you’ll find a unique coil system transmitting the diamond’s movements to deliver an optimised output. The engineering of the coil system provides the Elite with a powerful, full-bodied sound of high quality and high output.

To ensure the highest degree of tracking performance, a new rubber suspension has been developed by the engineers at Ortofon. The new rubber compound formula has been developed uniquely for the Concorde Elite to attain the desired characteristics for an extraordinary performance of the cartridge. The richer, fuller sound conveys the music in the most life-like manner while paying close attention to damping of excess brightness.
