Analogue Voices
For the first time in over 40 years, Roland has returned to a true analogue engine in a drum machine. The TR-1000 houses 16 legendary circuits from the TR-808 and TR-909, meticulously recreated from the original schematics and enhanced with precision modern components. Combining vintage character with expanded control, this engine delivers the unmistakable analogue TR sound, now elevated with fresh parameters and a greatly extended dynamic range.
Digital Voices
Complementing the TR-1000's analogue core are advanced digital engines powered by Roland's latest innovations. The evolving ACB (Analogue Circuit Behaviour) technology provides highly detailed virtual analogue modelling, including 21 circuit-bent 8X and 9X variations that twist and transform classic 808 and 909 voices in fresh, experimental ways. Adding to this are FM percussion, VA synthesis, and a vast library of PCM samples, opening the door to limitless digital textures and creative exploration.
Advanced Sampling
The TR-1000 integrates comprehensive sampling tools directly into its workflow, offering stereo sampling and resampling, BPM sync, seamless time-stretching, and non-destructive slice editing. It's 64 GB of onboard memory includes a curated library of 2000 samples, with 46 GB reserved for your own recordings, edits, and imported content.
Next-Generation Sequencer
The TR-1000's advanced sequencer elevates the legendary TR workflow to new heights. Program rhythms with precision and expressiveness, using classic TR-REC step input, real-time recording, or the new off-grid mode for nuanced grooves. Flexible input options let you perfectly shape the feel of each track, sliding individual steps to lock in the groove.

Intuitive pattern tools let your sequences evolve naturally. Capture live parameter changes with motion recording, experiment with track direction settings like forward, reverse, or pendulum, and define cycle conditions to control when steps play. Per-step probability adds variation and surprise, making every performance dynamic and alive.
Performance Effects
The new Morph slider adds a fresh dimension of expression to the TR experience. Assign it to multiple parameters for bold macro control, seamless transitions, or radical sound transformations with a single movement. Each pattern can have its own unique Morph setting, injecting colour and energy into every moment of a performance.

Designed to be played, the TR-1000 puts every performance detail at your fingertips. Its intuitive layout and abundant direct-access controls let you sculpt sounds on the fly. High-grip knobs and responsive faders are built for riding levels, shaping effects, and managing transitions with precision. The new snapshot feature lets you program step buttons to instantly recall any knob position, giving your instruments immediate versatility in performance.
Analogue & Digital Effects
The TR-1000's rich effects palette includes a new analogue State Variable Filter (SVF) inspired by vintage OTA designs, a dedicated analogue drive circuit, and digital favourites like Crusher, Filter, Isolator, Saturator, Pitch Delay, Flanger, and many others. There are also reverb and delay sends for each track and a slate of Master FX for processing the sound output.

Powerful in-line processing makes it easy to sculpt distinctive and dynamic rhythms with the TR-1000. Each track combines a model-specific sound generator, compressor, multimode filter/four-band EQ, and amp/envelope control. Four of the available tracks allow for two independent sound generators to be stacked or programmed separately, complete with per-track FX, internal sidechaining, output routing, and a three-target LFO.
Connectivity & Setup
The TR-1000 offers a main stereo output, an analogue FX output, and ten jacks that can serve as individual audio outputs or analogue triggers for external gear. Additional connectivity includes dedicated trigger I/O, a filter/CV input, clock out, and dual mono/stereo inputs for sampling and processing signals through TR effects. A front-panel headphone jack with independent level control makes monitoring effortless.

Acting as a multi-channel USB-C audio/MIDI interface, the TR-1000 integrates seamlessly with your preferred computer platform. The versatile USB device port supports flash drives for system updates, data backup/restore, and WAV audio import/export, as well as USB MIDI controllers like the Roland A-49 or A-PRO series. Full MIDI I/O and DIN sync are also included to lock with classic pre-MIDI synths and drum machines.

The TR-1000 App extends control to your computer, providing a large display for real-time parameter editing, a librarian to organise your personal sound library, and additional workflow tools for maximum creative flexibility.
