Showroom Reopening Update 10/6/2020
The last few months have seen astronomical changes to our usual day to day lives. As the world starts to return to some sort of new normal we’d like to express our thanks for your continued support. We also want to update you on what we have been up to behind the scenes, and how we will continue to operate moving forward.
We are delighted that we are able to reopen our showrooms shortly. However, clubs, bars, venues, bands, artists, DJs, producers, independent labels & record stores are all still feeling the pressure. We urge you to buy direct, support independents & help save our scene!
During the UK lockdown we have been focussed on fulfilling your online orders. This has been done safely whilst adhering to government guidelines on social distancing in the workplace. It has been a constant challenge adapting our warehouse, offices & stores to ensure we can dispatch these orders safely & hygienically with the aim of reopening as soon as possible, ensuring the safety of our workforce & customer base. Hopefully, these orders have helped keep our customers sane whilst we cannot gather socially. We cannot wait to see what new music our customers have been cooking up throughout lockdown, once we are back to normal, dancing in clubs together again!
In May we continued to support Last Night A DJ Saved My Life. Their #SetForLove campaign raised over £60,000 for an emergency appeal. We’d like to thank all our customers who got involved by taking part & raising funds, as well as the whole LNADJ team for getting us involved in such a worthwhile cause. We look forward to the next instalment of #SetForLove alongside their 10 year anniversary in June.
Throughout the entirety of lockdown we have held a DJ competition for students affected by the recent school closures. This was judged by international heavyweight DJ Rob Tissera. We wanted to give students something to stay focused & motivated on whilst schools & colleges are closed, and hopefully parents appreciated some downtime as we know the struggle it can be looking after kids for an ‘extended summer holiday’. We had over 100 entrants and the standard of mixing has been extremely high! It has been a pleasure listening to these mixes in the office as they have come in.
We have also just launched a brand new website, www.bopdj.com, so that we can serve our customers better digitally going forward. Please check it out & let us know if you have any feedback.
Moving forward, you can still continue to place orders through our website & phone channels, but more excitingly our Bristol & Leeds showrooms will be re-opening on Wednesday July 7th. These showrooms will be open 5 days a week, Tuesday - Saturday, and will be appointment based & also serve as a collection / drop off location. We will aim to open our Manchester store around 20thJuly so please keep an eye on our socials for upcoming updates.
It is not possible for us to open on the government set date for non-essential shops due the hands on nature of our showrooms. We do not expect to have an open doors policy with customer demos until early August.
The majority of in stock web orders are still being delivered on a next day delivery service. However, due to the current climate this cannot always be guaranteed. We thank you again for your continued patience with any orders made. If you need an item for a specific date, please do contact us before ordering. You can reach us on 0113 276 5507, firstname.lastname@example.org or through any of our social channels.
Please get in contact if you have any questions.
Stay safe and look out for each other!
- the Bop DJ Team
